David Stebbins, age 74, of Ionia passed away October 26, 2006 in Ann Arbor. He 
was born December 27, 1931 in Grand Rapids the son of Melbourne and Maraquita 
(Steere) Stebbins. David married Barbara Dion June 7, 1952.

He was a First Lieutenant in the 101st Army Airborne Artillery during the 
Korean Era.

David is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Barbara Stebbins of Ionia; 
children Dianne Stebbins Foltz of Quincy, David and Denise Stebbins Jr. of 
Belmont, Daniel and Anna Stebbins of Ionia; brother, Melbourne and Kathy 
Stebbins of South Carolina; sisters, Suzanne and Dennis Allen of Ionia, Julie 
Anne and John Spray of Adrian; special aunt Eve Steere of Ionia; special 
cousin Gerry Stebbins of Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held at a later date. The family will receive 
friends and relatives Tuesday 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements by Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia. You may make a memorial contribution in David’s name to 
Ann Arbor VA Hospital or charity of choice.
