Ionia Daily Sentinel – Saturday, 1 June 1929

The funeral for Mrs. James Stedman, who died at her home Sunday evening after 
a long illness, was held from the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, 
conducted by Rev. Potter.  Mrs. George Tasker accompanied by Mrs. G. C. 
Wellman at the piano, furnished the music.  Mrs. Stedman had lived in our 
midst for over 40 years.  Her aged husband is left alone.  She was laid to 
rest amid banks of beautiful flowers, beside her former husband who died 15 
years ago.  Friends from Grand Rapids, Ionia, Carson City, Detroit, Crystal, 
Houghton and Vickeryville were here to attend the funeral.
