Funeral services for George S. Stedman of Ronald township who died Wednesday
were conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home by the
Rev. Hubert Ellis of Belding.  Honorary bearers were Guy Comstock and Fred
Minier.  Active bearers were Berton Stout, Clare Wright, Ralph Safford, Floyd
Hammond Sr., Howard Ransom and Thomas Lennox.  Masonic graveside services were
conducted at the Woodard Lake cemetery with Bert Fox, W.M., Clarence Brooks,
S.W., Glen MacNeven, J.W., and M.L. Stearnes, Chaplin.

Attending from out of town were from Fenwick: Mr. and Mrs. Guy Comstock, Mr. and
Mrs. John Pettit, Burton Walker, Fred Minier, and Mrs. Esther McKimble; from
Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Smith, Mrs. Keith Tanner, and Linda Tanner;
Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kelly and Roy Patrick, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ellens,
Joliet, Ill.; Lloyd Eberly, Farmington, Mr. and Mrs. Grenville Sigourney;
Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Fetzner and Margaret Fetzner of Alma; Ray
Patterson, Collins; Myrtle Smith, South Gate, California; and James Howorth also
of California.
