The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, April 9, 1930

Mrs. David Stedman, 79, passed away at her home in South Ionia Wednesday 
morning at 6 o’clock after a four weeks’ illness.  The funeral services will 
be held from the house in South Ionia Friday, April 11, at 2 o’clock Eastern 
Standard time.  The interment will take place in the Woodard Lake cemetery.

She leaves her husband, David Stedman; three daughters, Mrs. H. B. McKay, of 
Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Josephine Smith, of Watertown, N.Y., and Mrs. J. E. 
Dobie, of Detroit; step-children, Mrs. Eva L. Amphlett, of Ionia; Mrs. Maude 
P. Sayles, of Berea, Cal.; Mrs. Daisy Gilmore, of Berlin; Lee B. Stedman, of 
Ionia, and H. N. Stedman, of Cormopolis, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.

Although born in Canada, she had lived in South Ionia for a great many years.  
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
