The Lowell Ledger, June 15, 1916


Chas. A. Stedman who has been living for the past four years in Toledo, 
started for his home near Frankfort in Newaygo county last March and became so 
ill he could get no farther than the home of his daughter, Mrs. WM. Johnson, 
here in Saranac.  He grew gradually worse and died at her home June 8, the 
services being held at the Congregational church on the 10th, interment being 
made in the Saranac cemetery.
