The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 18, 1937

William Steele, Sr. died Wednesday evening at 9 o’clock at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Roy Mulnix, in Grand Ledge.  He has always made his home in 
Ionia county and was an old resident, until last April when he went to live 
with his daughter in Grand Ledge.

Surviving him are nine children, Arthur Steele of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Lloyd 
Snyder, William Steele, Jr. of Ionia, Mrs. Roy Mulnix of Grand Ledge, Mrs. 
Orval Harris and Mrs. William Trauser of Lansing, Mrs. Walter Peterman of 
Sheridan, and a daughter, Edna, of Kalamazoo; one brother, Henry Steele of 
Palo, and 18 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed but burial will be in the 
Muir cemetery.
