Ionia Daily Sentinel, 15 Feb 1961

Funeral service was held in Melvindale, Monday for Emory Steele, former Ionia 
county resident.

He was a veteran of World War I and a retired Melvindale police officer.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Snyder of North Ionia and Mrs. Marie Mulnix of Lyons spent 
the weekend in Detroit and attended the funeral services.

Surviving are two sons: Robert and Richard of Allen Park, and four 
grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Snyder of Ionia; Mrs. Marie Mulnix of 
Lyons, Nellie of Lansing, Doris of Sheridan and Edna of Torrance, Calif., and a 
brother, Arthur of Portsmouth, Va.
