Ionia Daily Sentinel, 5 Oct 1904

John Steele died this morning about 3:30.  He never regained consciousness, and
had been failing for previous 36 hours.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
