The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, February 28, 1946
Mrs. Amos Steele, 54, Route 4, Ionia, died Wednesday evening at the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  She is survived by her 
husband; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Floyd Hampshire and Mrs. Paul Pommerville of 
Ionia; two stepsons, Raymond and Erwin Steele of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. 
Newton Stanley of Bay City and Mrs. Rose Griff of Newberry; seven brothers, 
Edward Pommerville of Canada, Peter of Kawkawlin, Jack of Detroit, Paul, 
Robert, and Benjamin of Ionia and Frank of Saginaw.

Funeral services will be held from the Bradley funeral home Saturday at 2:30 
p.m. with Dr. Paul Stewart officiating.  Interment will be at the Tuttle 
cemetery.
