The Ionia Weekly Standard, Friday, May 28, 1897
Funeral services for August Steinberg were held at the Church of SS. Peter & 
Paul on Wednesday and were very largely attended by members of this church 
society, where he was well known and liked for his many good qualities.  
Interment was in Catholic cemetery.  The bearers were John Schild, L. P. 
Gemuend, John Linden and Joseph Dehn.  Deceased was the father of Roman 
Steinberg of this city, and Frank, of Grand Rapids.
