Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 1 Apr 1938

Funeral services for Arthur Steinke, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph 
Steinke of Ionia township were held from the Myers funeral home Thursday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. R. A. Rook of the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran 
church, conducted the services.

Arthur died at the Ionia hospital Monday evening at 9:30 o’clock from injuries 
received Sunday afternoon when he fell on a pitchfork in his parent’s barn.  
The fork punctured his abdomen.

Bearers were Clyde Gee, Thomas Westbrook, Milton Smith and Gerald Robertson.  
The bearers were in charge of the flowers.  Miss Betty Meisling was in charge 
of the music.
