Born in Danville on December 20, 1897, she was the daughter of John and Edith Dunsmore. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matrons, the American Legion Auxiliary and Roy Neighbors. She was married to Glen Dawson; he died in March 1934. She was married to Albert Steinke November 7, 1936; he died July 18, 1987. Surviving are four sons, Donald Steinke of Midland, Herald Steinke of Beaverton, Jack Dawson of Florida and Phil Dawson of Ionia; one daughter, Leona Goltz of Big Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Selora Campbell of Comstock Park. A sister, Lavern Corcoran, and a brother, Earl Dunsmore, and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials have been established for Shiloh Community Church and the American Cancer Fund, in care of the funeral home.
