J. STEINMETZ DIED THURSDAY ---------- Mrs. John Steinmetz, 68, passed away at her home Thursday evening of last week after an illness of about four months. She was born at Webberville and joined at the Methodist church there when a young girl. She was married to John Steinmetz, also of Weberville, in 1904. They moved to Lake Odessa in 1915. Mrs. Steinmetz had been a member of the Ladies of the Maccabees for 33 years. She was an active member of the Lake Odessa Woman's club, the Fellowship group, and the Showeman division of Central Methodist church, the Allie Lepard division of First Congregational church, the Rebekahs and the Gloom Chasers club. Mrs. Steinmetz was a well-known seamstreee in this community for over 30 years. Surviving are the husband, John, two nieces, Miss Pauline Hendee of Mason and Mrs. Dorothy Campbell of Wiliamston, and several cousins. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Pickens funeral chapel and burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
