She had been in ill health for several years and was confined to her bed for the last three months. She was born October 4, 1874, in Darke county, Ohio, daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth Shade. She was married Aug. 19, 1893 to D. H. Stephens. They lived in Union City, Ind., until 1914 when they moved to Michigan. They lived in Tallman until they moved to Lake Odessa in August, 1919. She was a member of the Evangelical U.B. church and the West Odessa Aid society. Surviving are a son, Myrvell of Lake Odessa; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Miller of Union City, Ind., and Mrs. Wilbur Neeb of Lake Odessa; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; four half-brothers, Harry Shade of Oregon City, Ore., Earl Shade of Remus, Marion Shade of Lowell and Wayne Shade of Lake Odessa; and one half-sister, Mrs. Daniel Peterman of Lake Odessa. Mr. Stephens died in April 1941. The body reposes at the Wilbur Neeb home. Wednesday noon it will be removed to the Evangelical U.B. church where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Inez Martz. Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.
