Myrvell Stephens Passes Away
Myrvell Stephens, 72, passed away early Monday at Pennock Hospital, Hastings. He 
had been hospitalized at Ferguson-Droste ad Blodgett hospitals in Grand Rapids 
four weeks and two two weeks at Pennock.

He was born at Spartansburg, Ind., the son of Herschel and Gertrude (Shade) 
Stephens and in April 1914 moved with his parents to Tallman in northern 
Michigan. The family moved to the Lake Odessa area in 1919.

Mr Stephens married Hildred Klahn of rural Lowell in January 1942 and she passed 
away in November of the same year. in 1945 he married Hutdah Thokey of Union 
City, Ind., and she passed away in August 1952. On April 1963 he married Lera 
Blakely who survives.

Mr Stephens was a member of the EUB church.

Surviving besides his wife are a step-daughter, Mrs Henry (Hazel) Bos of 
Kalamazoo, 4 step-sons, Rev. Harold Blakely of Bay Port, Hale of McFarland, 
Wisc. Herbert  of Lansing and Clare of Lake Odessa; two sisters Mrs Wilbur 
(Naomi) Neeb of Lake Odessa and Mrs Lloyd (Grace) Miller of Union City, Ind.;
25 grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are being held today at 1:30at the Pickens funeral Chapel. Rev. 
Raymond Flessner officiating with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
