Ionia Sentinel, 8 Jan 1941

Word was received in Ionia Wednesday of the death of Mrs. Rebecca Louise Stevens, 
107-year-old former Muir resident.  She was the wife of Dr. L. S. Stevens of Muir 
and they made their home in that village for many years.  Her father was one of 
the organizers of the republican party.  She moved to San Diego, Calif., 29 years 
ago and it was there that she died Tuesday, December 31, at the home of her only 
surviving daughter, Mrs. Bertha Myers.  The funeral services were held at San 
Diego, Calif.
