Richard D. Stevens, age 73, of Belding, passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 9, 
2004 at Laurels of Kent Nursing Home in Lowell.

He was born on April 25, 1931 in Muir, the son of Leo and Cecelia Scheidt 
Stevens.  Richard attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Belding.

He was married on November 16, 1985 in Belding to Marianne Williams and she 
survives along with their children Vanessa and Ron Fuhrman, Guy Williams and 
Laurie Williams all of Belding and Richard and Sandra Williams of Greenville.  
Richard is also survived by his grandchildren, Paul Wright, Ronald J. Fuhrman, 
Angela Fuhrman, Dusty Williams, Mandy Gibson, Sarah Williams and Melody 
Williams; and sisters and their spouses; Margaret and Roy Ziegler of Orleans, 
Polly and Melvin Nicewonder of Carson City and Hazel and David Turmo of 
Sheridan; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Eugene Stevens, and first 
wife Darla Stevens.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor 
Alsen Wenzel of Bethel Lutheran Church officiating.  Visitation is one hour 
prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery, 
Fenwick.
