Belding Banner - Thurs. July 8, 1897

Mrs. Hester A. Stevens died at the home of her son, Charles Stevens, Saturday 
at 10 o’clock a.m., aged 73 years. The deceased suffered a stroke of paralysis 
a few days before her death from which she never regained consciousness, but 
slept peacefully until the change came. She was a sister of Mrs. Joseph W. 
Curtis and came to this city seven years ago from Canada. The service over her 
remains was held at the house Monday, Rev. O.J. Golden officiating.
