The Ionia Standard, Friday, January 19, 1906
Mrs. Agnes Stevens died at her home in Belding, Thursday morning.  Mrs. 
Stevens was the only daughter of the late John Stevenson, and was brought an 
infant in her mother’s arms to Ionia in 1836, from Ann Arbor, where she was 
born, her girlhood days being passed here.  After her marriage she lived in 
Ludington several years, but for some years past her home has been in 
Belding.  

She leaves five children: Frank W. of Orleans, now serving as pressman at 
Sentinel office; Mrs. Jennie M. Hopkins of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; Mrs. Margaret 
E. Peck of Belding; Mrs. Chas. W. Moore of Coopersville; and John E. Stevens 
of Belding.  Three brothers survive: Frank W. and T. G. Stevenson of this 
city, and John P. of Rocky Ford, Colorado.
