She died Wednesday morning at about 5 o’clock and was 68 years of age. She came to make a short visit with Mrs. Gardner before going north to visit her sons, was taken suddenly ill and died within a couple of days. The cause of her death is said to have been a severe attack of grip, supplemented by other complications. Deceased as an old resident of this village, her husband having been in business with N. T. Sandborn in the general merchandise business about 40 years ago. She is survived by two sons, William and George, both residing at Munising, Mich. Deceased was a former resident of Eagle and was sister of W. Seaddin of Danby and Mrs. Whitmore of Eagle. Funeral services were conducted from Mr. Gardner’s home on Friday last, Rev. Bard of Landing, Universalist, conducting the services. Interment in Portland cemetery. The two sons mentions above were present at the services.
