Ionia County News – Thursday, 23 May 1946

Raymond Stevenson, 49, son of Mrs. A. L. Stevenson, Eveleth, Minn., and 
brother of R. N. Stevenson, Ionia, was killed in an automobile accident in 
Milwaukee, Wisc., last Thursday, May 16.  His wife was seriously injured in 
the accident.  Mr. Stevenson was born in Ashland, Wisc. but had only spent a 
few years in Ionia, from 1905 to 1908.

Surviving, besides his widow, his mother and brother, R. n., are a daughter, 
Marian, of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Dopp, of Eveleth, Minn., and 
Mrs. Ruth Barnard of St. Croix, Wisc.  Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson and daughter, 
Mary Ann, and Charles Stevenson attended the funeral held in Milwaukee Tuesday.
