Lawrence Stevenson, 82, of Lyons passed away June 17, 2014, in Lansing.  He was 
born March 10, 1932, in Ashley, Michigan, the son of Harold and Esther (Savage) 
Stevenson.  Lawrence married Catherine Atherton in 1953.  He was a member of 
Ionia Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He enjoyed farming, repairing and 
restoring cars.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife Catherine Stevenson of Lyons; children, 
Caroline (Gary) Rose of Lake Odessa, Sylvia Tyler of St. Johns and Donald 
(Carol) Stevenson of Perrington; brothers, Floyd Stevenson of Stanton and Gary 
(Beverly) Stevenson of St. Johns; sisters, Evelyn Stevenson of Euaclaire, Hazel 
Stephen of Tennessee and Judy (Mike) Meyer of St. Louis, Michigan; 
grandchildren, Aaron, Lisa, Julie, Jerry, Tom, Tim and Matt; and 11 great 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, a great granddaughter 
and his sister, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014, 1 p.m. at Seventh Day 
Adventist Church in Ionia with Pastor Monte Landis officiating.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to Ionia Seventh Day Adventist Church School.
