Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 24 Jul 1961

Mrs. Ora Myrtle Stevenson, 73, of route one, Fenwick, died at 6:10 Sunday
evening at Clinton Memorial hospital in St. Johns.  She had been a patient there
one week and had been in ill health several months.

She was born April 28, 1888 in Valiska, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Campbell.  She was married in Rockford, Ill., August 25, 1912 to James
Stevenson and for the past 29 years had made her home in Palo.  Mrs. Stevenson
was a member of the Ionia Seventh-day Adventist church.

She is survived by her husband, James B. Stevenson; one son, Forest V. Stevenson
of Taft, Fla., and a granddaughter, Sharon.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Ola Seventh-day Adventist
church, located one mile south of US 27 and M57 intersection in Gratiot county.
 Elder Hollis Morel of Holland formerly of the Ionia Seventh-day Adventist
church, will officiate and interment will be at North Star cemetery.  The body
will repose at Phelps funeral chapel Monday and Tuesday, and will be removed to
the Ola church Wednesday noon.
