JOSEPH BARTON STEWARD of Ionia, MI
Died September 12, 2019-age 75
Joe was born July 13, 1944 in Lansing, the son of Stanley and Margaret 
(White) Steward.
Moved to Alba early, growing up on the family farm.
Graduated from Alba High School in 1962. Went into the Army.
Married Marilyn Robinson in 1966. 
Was a driver for General Motors, then retired maintaining the greens at Quail 
Ridge golf course.
Joe was an avid golfer, winning Club Champion at Centennial Acres in Sunfield 
several times. 
Enjoyed fishing, camping riding his motorcycle, visited 45 States.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-
grandchildren, 2 sisters. Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services Wednesday, September 18, at 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia officiated by Pastor Brian Rahn, with interment at Rest Haven Memorial 
Gardens in Belding. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
May make memorial contributions to Sparrow Hospice.
