The discourse was by the Rev. ?. W. Moore of the Church of Christ, and the singing by Mrs. Eugene Smith, Mrs. Harry E. Spencer and Miss Ethel Haynor. Deceased was aged 23 years, and besides the husband leaves one child; a little son aged 2 yrs. 7 months. Nearly all her life was spent in Ionia, where she numbered many acquaintances and friends. There were present at the funeral from out of the city: Frank W. Gardner of St. Louis, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Tillison of Byron, Ill., Mrs. Stewart and son William and wife of Milwaukee, Calvin Stewart and wife of Coopersville, Mich., Mrs. Hattie Bishop and sister, Miss Bessie Heere, of Grand Rapids, Mrs. L. J. Haynor of Zeeland, Misses Marion Clark of Byron, and Nellie Ponsford of Flint, Robert Alspaugh and wife of Flint, Arthur Clark and wife of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. E. Wilsie of Hastings, Mrs. John Sayles, Belding, Miss Grace Loree, Fenwick. There was a wondrous wealth of floral beauty on and about the casket, the testimonials of loving friends. Interment was in Oak Hill, and the bearers were: Frank W. Gardner, N. E. Tillison, Charles Gardner, Robert Alspaugh.
