Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Apr 1964

Funeral service for Leroy W. Stewart, 78, of 526 Union street who died Friday at
his home, was held at First Methodist church Monday at 3 p.m.  The Rev. Harold
A. Jayne officiated and interment was at Saranac cemetery.  Organist was Mrs.
William Daddazio.

Honorary bearers were P.C. Robertson, C.L. Fuller, Joseph Billinger, Glenn
Thorp, Roy Weber and Marshall Westfall.  Active bearers were Truman Stone, B.B.
Constance, Flint C. Watt, Foster Huber, A.J. Brictson and Fred Zeigler.  

Members of Ionia Rotary club attended in a group.  Out of town friends and
relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Wells, Stewart, Richard Wells of
Munster, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. John Sayler and Kathy, Mrs. F.G. Dunbar, Mrs. C. J.
Treat, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stafford and Mrs. Lewis Woodruff of Grand Rapids; Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Rudd, Diane Rudd, Jack Rudd, Mrs. Ethel Walters, Mrs. Harriet
Morrison, Mrs. Daisy Patrick and Mrs. Hazel Tower of Saranac.  Others were Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Reed of Lake Odessa, Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Elliott of Lansing; Mrs.
Ellen Burgi of Muncie, Ind., Quentin Brictson of Indianapolis, Ind., Dr. and
Mrs. E.E. Whales of Ann Arbor, Rev. Heath Goodwin of Traverse City, Mr. and Mrs.
John Sayler, Jr., of North Muskegon.

Members of Michigan Bookman’s club attending were H.C. Malan and Donald B.
Walsworth of Ann Arbor, E.L. Rankin of Lowell, Arthur C. Guenther of Belding,
Anthony Kuntz of St. Johns and Archie Hettie of Grand Rapids.
