Heliker at Cook’s Corners for the past two months, passed away in her sleep at the Heliker home early Thursday morning. She would have celebrated her 80th birthday, Sept. 15. She was born in Quebec, Canada, which was her home until a few years ago when, because of failing health, she went to live with her daughters. Since coming to the Heliker home she had been well enough to be about the house and often visited friends with them. The body was cared for by Fales-Huffman and was taken to Windsor, Ontario, Canada were funeral services were conducted and burial was in Windsor Grove cemetery. Mrs. Stewart was the mother of nine children, eight of whom survive, four daughters, Mrs. Anna Walsh, Windsor, Mrs. Emily Heliker, Belding, Mrs. Dell Warnke, Detroit, Mrs. Patricia Bovee, Detroit; four sons, Robert and Rufus of Quebec, William and Harold of Windsor.
