Funeral services for Kenneth Stewart, Jr., of Muir were conducted Thursday 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Muir Church of Christ with the pastor, 
Rev. Delos McKown officiating. The flowers were in charge of Fred Zeigler, 
Cecil Estep, Omer Postle, Robert Kilduff and Howard Gladding, jr. 

The bearers were Richard Bullis, U.S. Army Air Force, Texas, Raymond Diehl 
of Charlotte, Bert Huested of Muskegon, Robert Townsend of Muir, Lawrence 
Lawless of Lyons and Harry Steele of Flint.

Stewart died Sunday evening at Blodgett Memorial hospital after being 
removed there Sunday morning suffering with critical injuries received in an 
Orleans auto accident in which three Muir youths lost their lives. 

Among those from away were Mr. Maurice Hayes, Mr. and Ms. Carl Jones  of 
Detroit; Mr. and Ms. Fred Burdick and children of Bay City; Mr. and Mrs. 
Isaac Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Stewart, Wm. Youngs, Mrs. Ray Workman of 
St. Johns; Mrs. Ivan McColler, Mrs. Ralph Cotton, Mrs. Earland Fish, Mrs. 
Robert Riker of Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Roberts of Alma; Mr. and Mrs. 
Thomas Mallick of Flint; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bassett, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin 
Starr, Mrs. Rex McCauley of Grand Ledge; Mrs. Margaret Burdick, Mr. and Mrs.  
Andrew Burdick of Lansing; Frank Dailey and Raymond Dailey of Hubbardston; 
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Dadd of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Josephine Newman of Detroit; 
Dr. Frank Luton of St. Johns, and other friends from Ionia, Westphalia, 
Fowler Pewamo, Lyons, Portland and Belding.

Burial was in the Muir cemetery.
