Ionia Sentinel Standard, Feb 2000

Barbara E. Stewart, 65, of Lyons, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000.  She was born
Nov. 26, 1934, in Lansing, the daughter of Kyle L. O’Bery and Marie Townsend. 
She was a long-time resident of the Lyons-Muir area.  She was preceded in death
by her parents, and one sister, Peggy Cherpes.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; stepmother, Wilma O’Bery; one son, Brandt
(Irene) of Belding; three daughters, Toni (Brian) DiPietro of Phoenix, Ariz.,
Clair (Mike) Town of Ionia, Cindy Stewart and fiancée Mike Hoppes of Portland;
17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Kim) and Kyle
O’Bery, both of Ionia; one sister, Diana (Bud) Fox of Muir; brother-in-law, John
Cherpes; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, with
the Rev. Robert Girdwood officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
wishes of the family.
