Dick served on the Lake Odessa Fire Department for 18 years and volunteered for the March of Dimes for 27 1/2 years. He worked at E.B.I and was self employed for many years. Dick's passion was country music, having many country jams in his own yard. Every year he camped at Prairieville for the country shows. He also camped at the Maple River in Muir with special friends. Dick's other passion was finding carousel horses and renewing them to their originality. The carousel sits on the front porch for all to see. He loved working with wood, making many animals and painting them for every holiday. They would always be displayed in his yard for everyone to enjoy. Dick is survived by his faithful companion, Pat Forquer; her children, Rick (Judy) Aspinall, Don (Linda) Aspinall of Hastings; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Mae (Keith) Sarcoal of Kalamazoo, Carol Hide of Sturgis, Marlene Stanford of Comstock, Norma Jean of New York; and brother, Ron (Pat) of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deo and Rosella Stickley; and brothers, Bob, Roy and Bill Stickley. Upon Dick's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
