Stiffler-Trann, 91, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2007. She was born on January 2, 1916 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Merritt and Elsie (Thompson) Hall. Dorothy graduated from Portland High School in 1934 and retired from the State of Michigan Health Department. She attended Smyrna Bible Church and enjoyed quilting. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney L. Stiffler in 1989; sisters, Louise Reynolds and Helen Jameson; and brother, Merritt Hall, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Raymond Trann of Smyrna; son, Kendall (Ruth Ann) Stiffler of Eagle, daughter, Bertie Lou (David) Pitchford of Eagle; 5 grandchildren, Pam Dixon (William Fitzgerald), Jillene (Jeff) Fosburg, Tracy Wiegel, Robert Pitchford and Kyle (Kelli) Stiffler; special friends, Donn Dixon.; 9 great-grandchildren, step-children, Judy Hysell, Douglas (Terri) Trann and Dan (Regina) Trann all of Smyrna; 14 step-grandchildren; 18 step- great grandchildren; and brother, Jack (Phyllis) Hall of Bonify, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland; with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Interment will follow at North Eagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to either the North Eagle Cemetery Association, or the Smyrna Bible Church in Dorothy's name.
