Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 22 Oct 1957

Melvyn L. Stilwell, 43, died unexpectedly Saturday at his home in Seattle, 
Wash., where he lived for the past 13 years.  He was employed as a draftsman 
for Boeing Aircraft Corp.  A son of the late Corel and Della Stilwell, he was 
born April 20, 1914 in Ionia.  He was graduated from Lansing Central high 
school and was married to Elizabeth Thor in Lansing.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, two daughters, Patricia and Barbara, two 
sisters, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Courser of Jupiter, Fla., Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) 
Smith of Ionia; four brothers, Milton and Merritt of Ionia and Charles and 
Harold of Grand Rapids.

Masonic funeral services will be conducted Thursday at the Butterworth 
Mortuary, Seattle, Wash.  Interment will be in Seattle.
