Ionia Standard – Friday, 6 November 1896
Mrs. Pauline Stilson, wife of Amos Stilson and mother of Chas. W. Stilson died 
at her home, 217 South Jackson St., on Sunday at 11 p. m.  While alone in the 
house for a short time Saturday evening, she suffered a severe stroke of 
paralysis, and when found a few minutes later, her condition was such that she 
did not again rally.  Funeral from the residence at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
