Daily Sentinel -Monday Dec. 16, 1916

Mrs. Chas. Stilson, aged 50 years, passed away Sunday at 3 o'clock at St. Mary's 
hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been taken for an operation a few weeks 
ago. Though in poor health for some time, she had not been seriously ill for very 
long, and the news of her death was a shock to her many friends here. Besides the 
bereaved husband, she is survived by one daughter, Athelyn. The remains arrived 
here at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at2 
o'clock at the residence, 821 West Main street, Rev. C.E. Hoag officiating. 
Interment will be in the family lot in Balcom cemetery.

Mrs. Charles Stilson died at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at St. Mary's 
hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been a patient for some weeks. She was 
fifty years old. The body arrived her Mon. on the 3:03 train, Rev. C.E. Hoag 
conducted the funeral services on Wednesday at 2:00 o'clock at the home 831 West 
Main street. Burial in the family lot in Balcom cemetery.
