November 8, 1944 FOUND DEAD WED. AT HIS FARM HOME James Lewellyn Stinchcomb, 72, was found dead at his farm home just east of Tupper Lake Wednesday When it wsa noticed that his mail box had not been emptied, his neighbor Paul Brovont went to the home and found him and reported to his brother-in-law Harry Geiser who with Walter Brovont went to the home. They called Deputy Sheriff Merle E.Doty and Coroner Bruce Fales was called who pronounced it death by heart disease. There will be no inquest. As his Monday's mail was still in the box, they considered he had died Sunday. Mr. Stinchcomb was born April 18, 1872, probably in Ohio. He had lived in Odessa 56 years. He was unmarried. He leaves two nephews, Millard and Robert Geiser and their children , a son and daughter, No other relatives are known. The funeral will held Friday afternoon at the Wortley and Baine Chapel and burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
