Mr. Stine and his family were residents of Lake Odessa several years ago, moving from here to Altona about 1905. For a number of years during the 90’s Messrs. Fink and Stine ran a sawmill just across the street west of where the Calvary U.B. church now stands. When the lumbering industry began to die out hereabouts Mr. Stine went into the grain threshing business and followed that until he moved away from here. Mrs. Fink died several years ago. Besides his wife the deceased leaves five sons, Malcolm, Loren, Guy, Don and Lloyd, all married and living in or near Altona. Funeral and burial services were at that place Sunday.
