Daily Sentinel-Standard - Friday, June 1, 1962

Mrs. Bertie Stockdale, 75, died Thursday evening at 450 State Street after an 
illness of two years.

She was born July 22, 1886 in Symsonia, Ky., the daughter of James and Louisa 
Smith Edwards, and came to Michigan in October 1956. Her husband, George 
Stockdale, to whom she was married in 1930, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Stockdale came to Ionia from Lake Orion in 1958.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church.

Surviving is a foster-daughter, Mrs. Ivan Jackson of Valdosta, Ga. 

Rosary will be recited at Myers funeral home Monday at 7 p.m. Funeral will be 
at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at SS. Peter and Paul church and burial will be at 
Mt. Olivet cemetery.
