Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tues. Nov. 7, 1950
Charles Henry Stoddard, 76, a resident of State Road his entire life, died at 
midnight Monday after being ill a year.

He was born in Orleans township Decmeber 16, 1873, the son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Henry Stoddard.  He attended Hubbell school.  Dec. 21, 1904 he was married to 
Nellie Belknapp of Ionia by the Rev. E.E. Branch.  A carpenter, he was 
employed at the Hayes Body Shop.

Mr. Stoddard was a member of the Ionia Church of Christ and of Banner Grange.

Surviving are his two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Howarth of Route 3 and Mrs. 
Mary Chamberlain of Grand Rapids; one son, Ambrose of Orleans; seven 
granchildren; and one brother, Ambrose of Alhambra, Calif. 

The body was removed to the Stone-Kauffman funeral home. Funeral arrangements 
will be announced later.

Funeral services for Charles H. Stoddard of State Road who died midnight 
Monday will be held from the Ionia Church of Christ Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate assisted by the Rev. Court Adams, pastor of 
the church.  Interment will be in Woodard Lake cemetry
