The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, July 11, 1940

Mrs. Cora Belle Stone died Thursday morning at 5:45 a.m. at her home, 231 
State street, after an illness of seven months.  Born April 14, 1876 in 
Berrien county, she had lived the past 60 years of her life in Ionia county.  
On June 22, 1898, she married Delos Stone.  He died in 1936.  She was a member 
of the Evangelical church.

Surviving are the son, George Stone, of Ionia, three grandchildren, three 
sisters, Mrs. Ruth Schrader of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Maude Jenkins and Mrs. 
Herbert Pears of Niles and one brother, John Hatfield, of Niles.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the Boynton’s funeral 
chapel at 2:30 o’clock.  Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
