The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 4, 1931

Mrs. Eleanor C. Stone, 75, died at the home of her son, Delos Stone, 231 State 
street, Tuesday morning at 7:15.  She suffered a stoke three months ago and 
had been ill since, failing rapidly in the last week.

Funeral services will be conducted from the home of the son Thursday afternoon 
at 2:30 by Rev. A. L. Bingaman.  Interment will be in the Highland Park 
cemetery by the side of her husband, who died May 14, 1908.  Those wishing to 
view the remains may call at the Boynton funeral chapel before 10 o’clock 
Thursday morning.

Mrs. Stone was a native of New York, but had lived the greater part of her 
life in this vicinity, and the last 26 years in Ionia.  Surviving are the son 
Delos, of Ionia; a daughter, Mrs. Mae Middleton, of Pottersville, and four 
grandchildren.
