The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Friday, June 1, 1917

Solomon B. Stone, aged 40 years, died Thursday night at 9:30 at the residence, 
419 High street.  He leaves five children: Donald, John, Leslie, Florence and 
Rida, who are at home.  Funeral services Sunday, Rev. C. E. Hoag officiating.  
Interment in Howard City.

Subsequent Publication:  Monday, June 4, 1917

Solomon B. Stone was born at Carson City, Montcalm county, July 23, 1877, and 
died at his home, 419 High street, May 31, 1917, aged 39 years, 10 months and 
8 days.  He was laid to rest beside his father at Carson City.  June 7, 1897 
he was married to Florence Fowler and to this union were born six children, 
five of whom are left to mourn his loss.  Besides his wife and children he 
leaves five brothers and two sisters.  Rev. C. E. Hoag conducted the funeral 
services and the bearers were Tom Kowalski, Pete O’Connell, Al. Gemuend and 
Chas. Allen.
