Ionia Sentinel - Fri. April 17, 1874

Fatal Accident- A little son of Silas Stone, about five years old, was killed 
on Wednesday. Mr. Stone was skidding logs preparatory to sawing them with a 
machine, and the boy was struck by a log, which rolled over him and crushed him 
to death.
