Ionia Weekly Standard, 11 Jun 1915

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Lorana Stone were held at the late home
on East Main Street, on Saturday afternoon.  Rev. R.B. Chapman, performed the
last religious rites, using for his theme, the single word, “Heaven.”  The music
by Miss Belser and Miss Taylor was well chosen and beautifully sung.  The floral
offerings were profuse and proof in themselves of the high esteem in which this
beloved woman had been held.

Deceased was aged 73 years, and leaves not only many relatives to mourn her
demise, but also a wide circle of friends who will miss the always ready helping
hand.  Burial was in Highland Park and the pall bearers were, Eugene, Harry and
Allen Knapp, Orin, Judson and Bert Stone.
