Ionia Daily Standard, 6 Jul 1891

Wesley Stone of Ionia township, died very suddenly on Friday.  He was at work in
the field in the morning, but feeling suddenly indisposed, went to the house,
and died in a very short time.  His wife was on a visit to New York.  A telegram
was sent to her, but she had just left for home.  She did not hear of her
husband’s death until she left the train at Muir on Saturday.  Mr. Stone was an
old resident, widely known and universally respected.  His brother, Silas, and
his sister, Mrs. Alex Case, are residents of this city.  The funeral yesterday
was largely attended.  The services were conducted by Rev. W.H. Scott.
