Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 15 Oct 1958

Word was received by Mrs. W.C. Miller and William Storch their brother, Walter
L. Storch, 67, died Tuesday at the Detroit Memorial hospital after a three month
illness.  

He was born August 12, 1891 in Ionia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Storch,
where he lived the first 20 years of his life.  He joined the Detroit police
force in 1912, at the age of 21 and served until he retired as a lieutenant.  He
was married to Miss Mae Waterloo at Detroit.

Surviving are his wife, Mae, one daughter, Mrs. June Murphy of Rockford, Ill.;
two brothers, William of Ionia, and Henry of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three
sisters, Mrs. Charles Jordan of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Clare Bauer of Detroit
and Mrs. W.C. Miller of Ionia.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Wills funeral home on
Livernois in Detroit.
