The only reason given for the committing of the act was as follows: On Saturday young Storey was at Saranac, and while there traded horses and was badly beat in the trade. He left a letter, which he wrote in the presence of his mother, stating that he had lived long enough and everyone would know his reason for committing the horrible deed in time, after writing the letter he went to the barn, and, placing a revolver against his left side, fired, the ball entering his heart, killing him instantly. The funeral of the deceased was held in the M. E. church in So. Boston Monday.
