Lowell Ledger, 17 Jan 1907

Calista Harrington Story died at the home of her son, Matthew T. Story, in South
Boston January 12, 1907, after a very short illness.  The deceased was the widow
of the late Cyrus C. Story and had lived on the farm which was her home in
Boston township, Ionia county, since 1865.  Mrs. Story was born in Port Byron,
Wayne county, N.Y., March 8, 1827.  Her parents died in her infancy and she was
adopted by her father's sister Mrs. Matthew Thomas, with whom she lived in East
Avon, N.Y., until her marriage to Cyrus Story, February 22, 1848.  She and her
husband came to Michigan in 1861.  He was taken away July 7, 1897.  She is
survived by two children, Matthew T. Story and Jane A. VanDeusen, by five
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, also by her sisters, Mrs. Celinda
Merrit and Mrs. Laura Hamilton of New York and Mrs. Almira Porter of St. Louis,
MO.
