He was born in Niagara County and came to Michigan with his mother, sister and brothers, the late Jerome and Charles Stoughton, and settled on the farm where he has since lived. He was a man of sterling worth, of a mild and generous nature, respected by a large circle of friends. His first wife died about thirty-five years ago, his present wife survives a kind and indulgent husband. The funeral was held Tuesday and burial in the Otisco cemetery. Those in attendance from abroad were D.F. Root, Jane Root and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Root of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Jane Stoughton and Miss Nina Wright of Lowell. Additional Comments: Funeral: Tues.
