Clyde Stout, 67, passed away Monday at a Lansing hospital. For many years he was a widely known state representative, Ionia farmer and business man. He served three terms in the legislature from 1932-38 and was Supervisor of Ionia township for 13 years. After retiring from the legislature, Mr. Stout served on the state Welfare Commission for four years. He had operated the M. C. Stout elevator but had to turn its operation over to his son Frank and Theodore Mochlman after suffering a stroke nine years ago. Funeral services are being held this (Thurs.) afternoon at LeValley church at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Balcom cemetery. The wife, two sons and a daughter survive.
