Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. March 28, 1972

Mrs. Ethel E. Stout, 61, of route 3, died Tuesday morning at Grand Rapids 
Osteopathic hospital.

Born in Las Vegas, N.M., January 26, 1911, she was the daughter of Henry and 
Bessie Piper. She was married to Von Stout in Sheridan, April 27, 1929. She was 
a member of Palo United Methodist church.

Besides her husband, Von, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Merriman of 
Lowell and son, Alton Stout of Fenwick; eight grandchildren; three brothers, 
Marshall Piper of Ionia, Robert and Glen Piper of Sheridan; two sisters, Mrs. 
Robert Gibbons of Sheridan and Mrs. Sam Harriman of Fenwick. 

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 pm at Stebbins funeral home at 
Sheridan. Rev. John Gurney will officiate and interment will be at Sunny Hill 
cemetery at Palo

Visitation hours at the funeral home are Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 8:30 
p.m.
